Unimpressive
2I received this lipstick for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. It's.... okay. The whole vibe of this lipstick feels very mid 2010s dated. It's that hyper matte, crusty nude in different shades of brown. I didn't find the color particularly flattering, but will be using it at a grunge-themed costume party later this week. I know it's winter, but it made my lips look unreasonably patchy and dry. It didn't have much staying power, either... which can usually be a strong point for matte lipsticks. Worst of all, when it wore away, it left just the outline of the lipstick, leaving me with a truly 90s brown lipliner look. I just don't think this is worth it. The "velvet" component here just meant that the lipstick pilled up on your lips and looked altogether unflattering. Pass. Maybelline has a super stay matte liquid ink lipstick that blow this out of the water in every way. Do not waste your money on this.

Liked it surprising amount!
5As someone with dry skin, I've always been skeptical of matte products, lipsticks included, but I actually really enjoy the velvet-smooth lip mouse. As long as my lips are properly moisturized, it doesn't emphasize texture and feels very comfortable during wear. As a bonus, I've found that I can also wear it as a blush. Maybe I'm entering my matte lipstick era....time will tell!

Smooth
5I love the formula because it is smooth and doesn't dry out my lips even though it is a matte finish. The product is easy to apply and it feels comfortable to wear daily.

OMG the best lasting lip color I've ever used!
5This is the most long lasting lip color I have ever used and I have been using lip colors for 30 years! If you are on the fence about buying this, don't be, BUY IT! You will not be disappointed. My favorite color is Crush. It is the most flattering color. It doesn't dry my lips out like most matte lipsticks. It's easy to apply!

Long lasting lipcolor
4The lipsticks last long and feel great, not drying or cakey. However the colors I received aren't colors I would normally choose, I may repurchase in others to wear more frequently

Feels like silk
5Anastasia lip velvet feels like silk on my lips. I love love the parchment color as it's perfect for my skin coloring. It's very pigmented, matte color that lasts all day long. I received this product in exchange for an honest review. Can't wait to buy and try all the other colors

Dry but good color payoff.
3This was a super dry matte lip color. I was hoping this would be a little more moisturizing but it really dried out my lips. However, the color payoff is good and the bottle and applicator were very nice.

Lasts long and not sticky
4I didn't love the color match on me, but used it anyways. It lasted for longer than expected and also was not sticky at all! This time of year (the winter) I'm really picky on what I use on my lips because they get super dry and this passed the test.

Stunning but can be drying
4The first thing I'll say is the color is a lot darker than I thought it would be. It's a mousse like consistency and dries down quickly to a matte finish. It's absolutely stunning! I would recommend exfoliating if you have dry lips before applying.
